TRIALS RISING OVERLAY
=====================
Version 0.9.9.4 (2026-10-06)

An in-game overlay for Trials Rising that shows, live:
  - run time
  - track name (Track Central tracks too)
  - checkpoints (current / total)
  - faults
  - track builder
  - gamepad input (sticks, brake, throttle, buttons)
  - the game's checkpoint split (+0.617), red when slower than your best,
green when faster (on by default)
  - the track's leaderboard: top 10 and your own rank, global or among your
friends, on official and Track Central tracks (optional, off by default)
  - on official tracks, at the finish: whether you got the Diamond medal -
the time turns your chosen colour, or a card shows how much you missed
it by (optional, off by default)
  - on official tracks: how long you have played each track (in total and
this session, counted only while the race clock runs), how often you
finished it and how often you restarted it (optional, off by default)

And in the track editor (optional, off by default): scale any object
separately along X, Y and Z, from the game's own object menu.

And track tools (F4, a separate window): raise or lower a track, port a
Trials Fusion track to Rising, edit the advanced physics of a track's
objects, and rebuild a Trials Evolution track inside one of your Rising
tracks.

Works with both the Steam and the Ubisoft Connect version.

Install
-------
1) Close the game.
2) Double-click install.bat. It finds the game by itself (Steam and Ubisoft
Connect, any drive). If it cannot, it asks for the path of the folder that
   contains trialsrising.exe.
3) Start the game.

The game's original bink2w64.dll is not deleted - it is renamed to
bink2w64_orig.dll and the overlay passes everything through to it.

Use
---
- Works in borderless window mode and in exclusive fullscreen (see
  "Fullscreen and OBS" below).
- Default look (new installs): a compact grid in the top left corner -
faults, track name, builder, checkpoints and time, black and
see-through, with the split right after the time inside the time card -
and the gamepad at the bottom centre of the screen.
- F3 or Del opens the settings panel - on a track, in the menus and in the
track editor. Pick a part on the left (Time, Track, Checkpoint, Faults,
Creator, Split, Medal, Playtime, Gamepad, Leaderboard, or "All cards" for
every card at once) and a page at the top: Style, Layout, Warnings,
Gamepad, Split, Medal, Playtime. Every change is applied and saved at once.
- Language: F3 > All cards > Layout > "Interface": English, Japanese or
  Simplified Chinese.
- Bigger or smaller, all together: F3 > All cards > Layout > "Scale all
cards". The text cards grow or shrink together and keep their layout.
- Back to the default look: F3 > All cards > "Reset All cards" at the bottom,
clicked TWICE (the first click asks "Click again to reset").
- Style: colours, and the font and weight of the value and of the small label
(TIME, TRACK ...). Click the font box to pick from every font installed on
your PC; each name is shown in its own font. "+ Add font file" under the
list loads your own .ttf / .otf: it is copied to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay\fonts and loaded only for the game (nothing
is installed in Windows). Font files you put in that folder by hand are
  loaded too.
- While the settings panel (F3) is open, drag any part with the mouse to
move it; parts snap to each other (turn "Snap while dragging" off on the
"All cards" Layout page). With the panel closed, clicks go to the game.
- Fine alignment: F3 > a card > Layout > "Offset X" / "Offset Y" move the
text inside its box pixel by pixel (type a minus with the - key).
- Accent bars on every card at once: F3 > All cards > Layout > "Enable all
accents" (each card's own "Show accent bar" is set; turn it off the same
  way).
- Move all cards together: F3 > All cards > Layout > "Move all cards
together". Dragging any text card then moves time, track, checkpoints,
faults, builder and split as one block, and their layout stays as it is.
The gamepad and the leaderboard still move on their own.
- Type a value: click the number in the middle of a field (for example
"32 px") and type it. Enter applies, Esc cancels, Backspace and Delete
erase; clicking somewhere else applies too. In the colour picker click R,
G, B or the #RRGGBB code and type it the same way (0-255, or 6 or 3 hex
digits). Note: the game sees these keys as well, so Enter / Esc may also
  act in a game menu.
- Time warnings (F3 > Time > Warnings): by default the time card flashes
for 5 seconds at 15:00 (yellow), 20:00 (dark yellow) and 25:00 (red).
Each threshold has its own colour; set one to Off to drop it. (The game
itself ends a run at 30:00.)
- Diamond (official tracks): F3 > Medal. "Show time missed" shows a card
after the finish - "DIAMOND +1.234" when you missed the Diamond time by
1.234 s, "DIAMOND -0.338" when you beat it. "Color time on Diamond"
turns the time card your chosen colour when you got it. Both colours can
be changed. Only the time counts (like the medal times the game shows),
faults are not checked. The Diamond times are read from the game's own
files (base game and DLC). Track Central tracks and skill games have no
Diamond time, so nothing is shown there. The card stays until you restart
  or start a new run.
- Playtime (official tracks): F3 > Playtime > "Show playtime". A card with
four lines, each can be switched off:
Total Time time on this track, all sessions together
Session Time time since you opened the track
Finishes finished runs: this session / total
Resets restarts: this session / total (B before the first
checkpoint restarts the run too and is counted here)
Time only counts while the race clock runs - not in the pause menu, the
countdown, the result screen or while loading. The game does not keep
these numbers itself, so the overlay saves them in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay\playtime.txt (on your PC only) and counts
from the day you installed this version. The icons need Windows 10 or
newer; without them the card shows text only.
- Game process: F3 > All cards > Layout > "High CPU priority" starts the
game with high priority every time (off by default).
- Hover a part and drag the handle in its lower right corner to resize it.
With "Auto size" off (Layout page) the box gets any width and height and
the content fits inside it - also for the gamepad card.
- Split (on by default, F3 > Split): at every checkpoint it shows the
difference to your best run, like the game does (red +, green -), until
the next checkpoint (or, with "Keep until next CP" off, for a set number
of seconds of run time). Format "+0.617" or
"+00:00.617", and the two colours, on the same page.
- Leaderboard: F3 > Leaderboard > Board > "Show leaderboard". When a track
loads (official or Track Central), the overlay asks the game for its
leaderboard and shows the top 10 with time and faults, and your own rank
below them if you are not in the top 10. On the Board page: Global or
Friends, which columns to show (Rank, Name, Time, Faults, Score, Date),
how many rows, the colour of your own row and of the selected tab, a
  Refresh button, and "Refresh
after a run" (after a new best it waits until the game has sent your score
and the server has it, then refreshes - see What's new in 0.9.7). The
GLOBAL / FRIENDS tabs and a refresh icon are on the card itself too. Nothing is requested while it is off. Skill games and some
event tracks show "No leaderboard for this track" or may look odd.
  The Tab key shows / hides the leaderboard while the game is in front;
pick another key (or none, with Backspace) at Board > "Toggle key".
- Track editor, scale on X / Y / Z: F3 > All cards > Layout > "Per-axis
scale X/Y/Z". Then open an object's properties in the editor (close and
reopen the menu once): a new "Offset and Scale settings" entry holds
X-Axis, Y-Axis and Z-Axis Scale. These are the game's own settings (the
ones decals have); the object is saved with them like any other change.
The help text under them still says "decal" - that is the game's text.
- Track tools: press F4 (in the game, the menus or the editor) to open a
separate window; F4 again or Esc hides it. It hides by itself when you
switch to another program and comes back with the game. Three pages:
Track Raiser move every object of a track up or down (Fusion
tracks often load below the ground in Rising), and
copy a Fusion track over one of your Rising tracks
                      (renamed to match)
Track Physics set Friction or Restitution on every object at once,
or edit Mass / Friction / Restitution / damping of one
                      object (Rising tracks only)
Evolution Import rebuild a Trials Evolution track inside one of your
own Rising tracks: its driving line, world and settings
stay, the scenery and the gates come from Evolution.
Use a track you built in the editor yourself.
Your tracks are found by themselves (Documents\TrialsFusion,
  Documents\Trials Rising, Documents\Ubisoft\Trials Evolution Gold
Edition); "Browse .trk..." takes a file from anywhere. Every changed file
is kept as .bak the first time (track.trk.bak, metadata.mda.bak) - copy it
back to undo. Do not change a track that is open in the editor at that
moment; load it again in the game afterwards. Based on Advanced Trials
  Tool.
- Gamepad input to the game: F3 > Gamepad > Input > "Apply to game" (on by
default; switching it on takes effect after restarting the game). Then:
    Block in game A / B / X / Y (Cross / Circle / Square / Triangle)
one by one, so a stray press does nothing. Only while
you ride on a track: in the menus, the pause menu,
the results screen and replays the buttons work.
                      None is blocked by default.
Full restart the View button: Normal, Double (press it twice within
                      half a second) or Blocked
"Card shows" picks whether the gamepad card shows the raw buttons or what
  the game gets.
- Gamepad card: F3 > Gamepad > Show > "Values" writes brake %, stick X / Y
and throttle % under the card; Sizes > "Stick size" makes the stick
  circle bigger or smaller.
- PlayStation controllers (DualShock 4, DualSense) work on the gamepad card
also when they are connected directly (USB or Bluetooth), without Steam
  Input or DS4Windows.
- Hide the game's own time / faults box: F3 > All cards > Layout > "Hide
time / faults box". It takes effect at the next track load. This changes
one game file (data_ui.pak) - see Uninstall.
- Settings are saved to %LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay\overlay_layout.txt.

Fullscreen and OBS
------------------
By default the overlay draws itself INTO the game's own picture - in
borderless mode and in exclusive fullscreen. So OBS "Game Capture" and
Discord's game sharing show it too, and nothing has to be set up. The parts
can be moved while the settings panel (F3) is open.
It starts on the first track you load: in the menus and during the intro
the overlay is a separate window (game capture does not show it there).

To change this, put one digit in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay\d3d_mod.txt (create it with Notepad):
(no file) = 2 (the default since 0.9.9.3)
0 = off: overlay window on top of the game only (OBS Game Capture and
Discord game sharing do not see it; screen sharing does)
1 = draw into the game picture AND keep the overlay window
2 = draw into the game picture; the overlay window is hidden
oto = the old automatic mode: overlay window, and the game picture only
        in exclusive fullscreen

Restart the game after a change.

The game-picture mode hooks the game's frame presentation (it does not change
any game file or game code). If the game becomes unstable with it, put 0 in
the file.

What's new in 0.9.9.4
---------------------
- Track tools (F4): Track Raiser, Track Physics and Evolution Import in a
  separate window, see "Use".
- Gamepad > Input page: block A / B / X / Y in the game, and Full restart
(View) Normal / Double / Blocked ("Apply to game").
- Gamepad card: "Values" (brake, stick and throttle as numbers) and "Stick
size" (bigger stick circle by default, 115%).
- Directly connected PlayStation controllers (DualShock 4 / DualSense, USB
or Bluetooth) show on the gamepad card, and the Input page works with
  them too.
- Replays: the overlay now also shows in replays opened straight from a Track
Central leaderboard, with the track name, and the faults start at 0.
- Track editor and your own tracks: the track name, builder and checkpoint
total come from the track you loaded (before, they could stay on the
  previous track).
- The opening card says "F3 settings - F4 track tools".
- Fixed two crashes: when the game scans the gamepads again while loading,
  and while watching a replay.
- Fixed (later the same day): after a long pause (more than 10 minutes)
the overlay disappeared and only came back on the next run. It now picks
the run time up again when you continue.
- Fixed (later the same day): watching a replay no longer adds to the
Playtime card (time, resets and finishes). The first seconds of a replay
  may still be counted.
- Fixed (later the same day): on some PCs (Windows 10, Ubisoft Connect) the
game closed about 15 seconds after start. Drawing into the game picture
now attaches to the game's own swap chain when the game creates it (no
extra Direct3D device any more) and only starts on the first track.
- Changed (evening): Gamepad > Input > "Apply to game" is on by default and
no button is blocked by default. Blocked buttons are only blocked while
you ride on a track - Y (bail out) and the others work in the menus.
Your saved setting stays if you changed this page before.
- Changed (evening): in replays the gamepad card shows your own gamepad
again, not the replay rider's input.
- Changed (evening): the F4 track tools window hides when you switch to
another program or screen and comes back with the game.
- Fixed (evening): Grand Finale could show 6 checkpoints instead of 25 once
  in a while.
- Smaller and lighter DLL: old measuring tools removed, shorter log.
- Fixed (night): opening the F4 track tools could make the overlay show
up in the main menu with the name of one of your own tracks.
- Fixed (night): a rare case where the gamepad input handling could wake
the wrong part of the game, which may have caused a crash while browsing
  the menus.
- Fixed (night): the overlay no longer shows up in the main menu and its
tabs, or on the loading screen of a track (empty track name, 00:00.016).
It now appears when the track has finished loading, during the countdown.

What's new in 0.9.9.3
---------------------
- The overlay now draws into the game picture by default (also in
borderless mode), so OBS Game Capture and Discord's game sharing show it.
Before, it was a separate window there and only screen sharing showed
it. Set d3d_mod.txt to 0 or oto for the old way (see "Fullscreen and
  OBS").
- New Playtime card (off by default, F3 > Playtime): total and session time
on each official track, finishes and resets. See "Use".
Fixed (later the same day): Session Time and the session counts now start
again when you leave the track to the menu and open it again, and opening
it again no longer counts as a reset.
- Stadium races (X-Cross, Supercross, Duel and the Supercross tracks on the
map): the finish is detected correctly now. Before, the Diamond card could
appear in the middle of the race with a wrong time. The checkpoint counter
shows the right total from the first run: the game's stadium file holds
one route per race type (8, 4 or 2 riders) and the overlay now reads the
  one you are riding.
- Fixed (later the same day): on official tracks that share their track
file with other tracks (for example UK Up / UK Upper, Ship It! /
Container Cowboy / Hong Kong Harbour, Venice Beach 360 / 1080, Chinese
Gauntlet, Lumber Party, Grand Finale), the checkpoint total was taken from
the wrong route - the overlay could show "10/10", the Diamond card and a
finish before the real finish, or never reach the end. The overlay now
reads the route of the track you are riding. All official tracks were
  checked against the game files.
- Fixed: Grand Finale, Dreams of Greatness and Time Trial showed no
Diamond card - the game file has an old placeholder line for them (in a
comment) before the real medal times. Grand Finale's Diamond is 1:37.000.
- Stadium Finals: the three rounds are counted as one run (for example
1/39 ... 39/39), and the Diamond time is compared with your total time
  at the very end.
- Fixed: on some official tracks (for example Yellowstone Caldera) the
Diamond card said you missed the Diamond even when you got it - the game
files also contain a placeholder entry for these tracks, which the
  overlay used by mistake.
- The overlay now also shows during the start camera and countdown when you
open the same track again from the menu (before, it appeared only once
  the race clock started).

What's new in 0.9.9.2
---------------------
- Fixed: on official tracks, when you finished without a new best, the
split card showed your whole run time (for example "39.092") instead of
the split. The result screen writes the time to the same place as the
split; the overlay now keeps the real split.
- Fixed (installer): install.bat stopped with "Cannot find drive. A drive
with the name 'D' does not exist" on PCs where Steam or Ubisoft Connect
still remembers a game folder on a drive that is gone. Such old paths are
  skipped now.

What's new in 0.9.9a
--------------------
- The settings panel opens with F3 now (was F1). Del still works too.
- New default look: the grid is 80% of the old size ("Scale all cards"
shows 80%), the split sits right after the time inside the time card
(text only, no box), and the text of faults, track, builder and
checkpoints is moved down a little. Only new installs and "Reset All
cards" get it - your own layout is kept.
- "Enable all accents" on the All cards Layout page.
- Snapping fixed: a card dropped next to another one moved 1 pixel too far
(double line between them), and could snap to a card far away on the
  screen (for example the gamepad).

What's new in 0.9.9
-------------------
- Diamond on official tracks (off by default, F3 > Medal): at the finish
the time turns your chosen colour when you got the Diamond medal, and a
new Medal card shows how much you missed it by ("DIAMOND +1.234").
- Offset X / Offset Y (Layout page of every text card): move the text
inside its box pixel by pixel.
- Text size and Opacity now change 1 at a time.
- New default grid: time and builder swapped places (time at the bottom,
next to the checkpoints and the split). If you still had the old default
layout it is moved for you; your own layout is kept.
- Japanese and Simplified Chinese interface (All cards > Layout >
  Language).
- "High CPU priority" switch (All cards > Layout).
- Cards move only while the settings panel (F3) is open, in every display
mode - no more moving a card by accident while playing.
- Dragging cards is smoother (it stuttered and left trails, mostly in
fullscreen), and a crash that could happen while dragging was fixed.
- Fixed: a rare crash of the game caused by the overlay itself (one of its
  hardware breakpoints was not recognised).
- Fixed: Alt+Tab opened / closed the leaderboard (Tab key).
- Track name, checkpoint count and builder now appear together when a
  Track Central track loads.

What's new in 0.9.8
-------------------
- Time warnings are on by default: the time card flashes for 5 seconds at
15:00 (yellow), 20:00 (dark yellow) and 25:00 (red). Every threshold has
its own colour now, and thresholds are shown as minutes (15:00). Your old
settings are kept if you had changed them.
- Click a number in the settings and type it with the keyboard (Enter /
Esc). In the colour picker you can type R, G, B or the hex code.
- "Move all cards together" (All cards > Layout): drag one card, the whole
block of text cards moves. The gamepad and the leaderboard stay where
  they are.
- The split card and "Keep until next CP" are on by default.
- Leaderboard: "Selected tab color" on the Board page (the green of the
  GLOBAL / FRIENDS tab).
- Gamepad: "Stick dot" is 6 px by default (was 7).
- Crashes: the overlay now also records crashes that the game's own crash
reporter catches (crash.log and a crash_<number>.dmp file, see
Troubleshooting). The game's reporter still runs as before.

What's new in 0.9.7
-------------------
- Checkpoint split card (off by default, F3 > Split): the game's
"+0.617" / "-0.767" at every checkpoint, red when slower and green when
faster than your best. Format "+0.617" by default.
- Leaderboard after a run: your new time now shows up. The game itself sends
  the score a few seconds after the finish (we measured 2 to 13 seconds);
the overlay used to ask too early and gave up. Now it notices when the
game's "score sent" message gets its answer from the server and refreshes
one second later; as a fallback it keeps asking for up to 90 seconds after
a new best. To do this it looks at the game's own network messages for
that one reply - nothing is logged, stored or sent anywhere.
- New default look for new installs: compact black grid in the top left
corner (no labels, no gaps between the cards), the split next to the time,
the gamepad bigger and at the bottom centre, trigger bars with square
  corners.
- "Scale all cards" (All cards > Layout): make the whole grid bigger or
  smaller at once.
- "Reset All cards" (All cards, bottom button) now really resets every card
to the default look - click it twice. It used to reset only the "All
  cards" settings themselves.
- Fixed (later the same day): after the finish the faults number could jump
to another value - the game writes the other players' faults on the result
screen and the overlay showed those. It now keeps showing your own faults.
- Fixed (later the same day): if the leaderboard card was hidden (Tab) when
you finished, it showed the old list when you opened it again. It now
refreshes as soon as you open it.
- Default look: track name and builder in the same white as the rest.
- Fixed (later the same day): with many downloaded tracks the overlay could
show the wrong Track Central track - wrong name, builder and checkpoint
count - mostly for a track you had played in the last hour. It now sees
which track file the game opens when the track loads (it only looks at
the file name; nothing is changed or logged) - also on PCs where loading
  a track takes long.
- Your existing layout is kept.

What's new in 0.9.6
-------------------
- Ubisoft Connect version: the leaderboard and the editor's X / Y / Z scale
did not work there at all (they showed nothing or "Leaderboard
unavailable"). Both work now in the Steam and the Ubisoft Connect version.
- Tab shows / hides the leaderboard (only while the game is in front). The
key can be changed or turned off: F3 > Leaderboard > Board > "Toggle key".
- Your own fonts: "+ Add font file" in the font list loads a .ttf / .otf
(kept in %LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay\fonts, not installed in Windows).
- The leaderboard card follows the font picked on "All cards" too.
- Gamepad card: "Auto size" off (Layout page) gives it any width and height;
the gamepad fits inside, extra width goes between the pieces and the
trigger bars grow with the height.
- Fixed size cards: text that is bigger than the box shrinks to fit (it was
cut off at the bottom); long names end with "...". Width and Height now
  change 1 px per click.
- Turning "Auto size" off keeps the card's current size (it used to jump to
  200 x 72).
- The mouse pointer over the overlay is a normal arrow (it was the four-way
move cursor), and no second pointer is drawn on top of it.
- Your existing layout is kept.

What's new in 0.9.5
-------------------
- Track editor: objects can be scaled separately along X, Y and Z right in
the game's object menu ("Offset and Scale settings"). Off by default -
  F3 > All cards > Layout > "Per-axis scale X/Y/Z".
- The settings panel now opens in the menus and in the track editor too
(only the panel is shown there, not the cards).
- Leaderboard on official tracks too (Trials, Ninja and Stadium Finals
tracks; skill games not checked yet).
- Leaderboard: its own "Board" page, a Friends view, column choice with
titles (Rank, Name, Time, Faults, Score, Date), 3 to 10 rows, the colour of
your own row, Refresh, and an automatic refresh a few seconds after you
finish a run. GLOBAL / FRIENDS tabs and a refresh icon on the card.
- Gamepad: with "X = full brake" on, the brake bar can have its own colour
while X (Square) is held ("X brake color").
- When the game starts, a small card says the mod is installed instead of
the gamepad card showing over the intro.
- Fixed (later the same night): in the Friends view, players with many
friends (more than 95) could miss some of them - the overlay only asked
for the first 95. All friends are asked now.
- Your existing layout is kept.

What's new in 0.9
-----------------
- Leaderboard card (off by default): top 10 and your own rank on Track
Central tracks, with time and faults, straight from the game's own
leaderboard. Turn it on in F3 > Leaderboard. Official tracks are not
supported yet, and the list is loaded once when the track loads (it does
  not refresh after a run).
- The game's own time / faults box can be hidden (F3 > All cards > Layout).
Off by default: the game's HUD stays as it is unless you turn this on.
- "X = full brake" (Gamepad page, "Square = full brake" with PlayStation
symbols): if you brake with the X button, the brake bar fills completely
  while X is held.
- Fixed: the overlay disappeared when you clicked on another monitor and
went on playing with the gamepad. It now stays visible as long as no
window covers the game; it still hides when another window is on top of
the game, or when the game is minimized.
- Your existing layout is kept.

What's new in 0.8
-----------------
- New settings panel: parts on the left with clear names, pages as tabs,
options grouped under headings, switches, - value + steppers, colour codes.
The colour picker opens right under the row and has ready-made colours.
- Fonts: pick the font and weight of the value and of the label, from every
font installed on your PC. Set it on "All cards" to change every card.
If a layout uses a font this PC does not have, Bahnschrift is used.
- Exclusive fullscreen is detected by itself - no d3d_mod.txt needed any more.
- Fixed: changing the display mode (fullscreen / borderless) in the middle of
a run could hide the overlay until the track was restarted.
- Fixed: a part with Opacity 0 could not be dragged or resized in fullscreen
(it could only be grabbed by its text).
- Gamepad: bigger PlayStation symbols, a size setting for each button symbol
(Symbol size, also for the Xbox letters), and the cross in the stick circle
can be turned off (Stick crosshair).
- compat.txt: optional CPU core limit for PCs that need it (see
  Troubleshooting).
- Your existing layout is kept.

What's new in 0.7
-----------------
- New look: every part is a card with a dark, see-through background, rounded
corners, a coloured accent bar and a small label (TIME, TRACK, CHECKPOINT,
FAULTS, CREATOR). Edges and text are smooth. Digits no longer jump around
  while the time runs.
- Resize any part by dragging its lower right corner.
- The settings panel has pages now, with many new style options: border width,
rounding, padding, fixed width/height and alignment, accent bar opacity,
label and accent colours, and which gamepad pieces to show (brake, stick,
throttle, D-pad, ABXY) with their own trigger rounding.
- "global" part: colours, border, rounding, opacity and height set there are
applied to every part at once.
- Same height (on by default): all text cards have the same height.
- Warnings: the time can flash at chosen seconds or change colour after a
limit, and faults can change colour from a chosen count.
- Hide paused: a part can hide itself while the game is paused.
- Long track names no longer run into the card next to them: the text shrinks,
  then ends with "...".
- Labels fit too: when the next card is close, a label no longer gets cut
off ("CHECKPOIN"); it drops its letter spacing, then becomes "CP".
- Accent bar opacity 0%: the space of the hidden bar is not kept any more,
the text moves to the left edge of the card.
- Fixed: on a PC with only ONE copy of the game (only Steam or only Ubisoft
Connect), install.bat and uninstall.bat stopped with "Neither bink2w64.dll
nor bink2w64_orig.dll is here: D" (or C). They find the game again now.
- Your existing layout is kept. Parts that still used the old default colours
switch to the new look; colours you picked yourself stay as they were.

What's new in 0.6
-----------------
- Works in exclusive fullscreen and shows in OBS "Game Capture" when the
game-picture mode is turned on (see "Fullscreen and OBS").
- Fixed: after changing tracks the overlay could keep showing the previous
track's name, checkpoints and builder until you alt-tabbed.
- Fixed: the overlay could stay visible in the menus after finishing a track,
or show a wrong time in the main menu before any track was opened.
- The DLL now carries its version: right-click bink2w64.dll > Properties >
Details shows "Trials Rising Overlay 0.6".

Uninstall
---------
Close the game and double-click uninstall.bat. It puts the original
bink2w64.dll back.

If you turned on "Hide time / faults box": turn it off first, start the game
once and close it again, THEN run uninstall.bat. Otherwise the game's time /
faults box stays hidden after uninstalling. "Verify integrity of game files"
in Steam / Ubisoft Connect also brings it back.

Troubleshooting
---------------
- The game freezes or closes in the intro: bink2w64_orig.dll is missing from
the datapack folder. Run "Verify integrity of game files" in Steam /
Ubisoft Connect, then run install.bat again.
- After "Verify integrity of game files" the overlay is gone: the check puts
the original DLL back. Just run install.bat again.
- The game's time / faults box is gone and you did not hide it (or the
overlay is uninstalled): run "Verify integrity of game files".
- Nothing shows in exclusive fullscreen: d3d_mod.txt says 0 - delete it.
- You needed "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000" in a .bat to start the game
(a known fix for newer Intel CPUs): that setting is read by Ubisoft
Connect, not by the game, so the overlay cannot set it. Make it permanent
instead - run this ONCE in a Command Prompt, then close Ubisoft Connect
  completely (or restart the PC):

     setx OPENSSL_ia32cap ":~0x20000000"

- The game needs fewer CPU cores on your PC (you started it with
"start /affinity FE" before): after the first start there is a file
  %LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay\compat.txt. Change "affinity=off" to
"affinity=FE" and start the game normally - no .bat needed. The overlay
sets it before the game code runs, also when Ubisoft Connect starts the
  game.
- Logs are in %LOCALAPPDATA%\TrialsOverlay (checkpoint_live.log, crash.log).
- If the game crashes, crash.log and a crash_<number>.dmp file are written
to the same folder. They stay on your PC. The .dmp holds part of the
game's memory at the moment of the crash, so share it only with someone
you trust (it helps find the cause).
